Our History - How We Began

When Tim Taylor was a young boy, he was responsible for cutting wood for his mother. They had a Wedgewood stove for cooking, and Tim's job was to get the wood for the cooking and for heating the house. He also helped his dad restoring many of the California Missions all over the state.

Tim would always cut fire wood for his neighbors and sell the wood in the winter months. Word spread and he was cutting wood for everyone, and soon Tim Taylor's Tree Service and Firewood began. Around 1982, Tim started selling boxed wood and his business developed into Pacific Firewood and Lumber.

"It's ironic," admits Tim. "We have one of the few products that people take home and burn, and then come back and want more."

"Being consistent is key. We pride ourselves in providing our customers with clean, good quality firewood and excellent customer service." Tim's philosophy is, "If you take care of your customers, they will want to come back. We're always here to help."
